Liza was recognized at the 2026 Annual Press Club of Long Island awards. She received first place in the History and Lifestyles categories and third place in Business and Real Estate, all pieces she wrote for Newsday. Another award was third place in the Non-local News/Features category for an article she wrote for AARP’s publications. Overall Liza has won 81 journalism awards in her 40-plus-year career.
