Liza N. Burby is the author of 38 nonfiction books for children ranging from biographies and science books to social issues, and four for adults, including How to Publish Your Children’s Book (Second Edition). Liza is also a ghostwriter for book topics like health, science, business, social issues, parenting and autobiographies—and fiction including adult, young adult, middle grade and picture books. Liza has been invited to speak about her books at writers’ conferences, including the American Society of Journalists and Authors, Midwest Literary Festival, the CAPA University Annual Writers Conference, the American Association of Journalists and Authors, the Society of Professional Journalists, Wayne County Arts Alliance, Long Island LitFest, as well as and numerous libraries, schools and bookstores.
Liza was also the 2004 Author in Residence for the National Book Foundation at Washington Heights in New York. And she was the children’s fiction judge for Writer’s Digest Annual Contest for several years.
